What is KnitBox?
Knitbox is an original, practical and interactive souvenir from the East of Iceland. The box includes a knitting pattern in English and all the skeins of Icelandic yarn needed to complete the garment. Knitbox is a sustainable souvenir which demands the full participation of its owner.
Big Red Balloon is the proud owner of KnitBox. Big Red Balloon is the effort of two friends from the East of Iceland, Bylgja Borgþórsdóttir and Esther Ösp Gunnarsdóttir, who started designing knitting patterns a few years ago. As of now there are 11 patterns available, both in Icelandic and English and a few in Norwegian. You can find Big Red Balloon’s patterns on Ravelry.
